Push The Bottle 2 - Solo-dev

Push The Bottle 2 is a casual/friendly game where you can play with friends to see who can stay on the table the longest! The game mechanic is simple, you push a bottle on a table turn by turn until there's one last standing player.

Gameplay Overview

  • Push the Bottle – Compete to see who can push the bottle the furthest without losing control.

  • Earn Reputation – Build your “Push Reputation” through wins, streaks, and consistent performance.

  • Enjoy Everywhere – Fully optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablet players.

Since I made this game from scratch, I was responsible for a wide range of technical and design tasks. I handled both the game systems and UI/UX experience. The only assets that aren't from me are the kitchen and the outside assets, and most icons in game.

Core Systems & Features

  • Streak & Reward System: Designed a comprehensive streak system featuring daily streaks, freezes, revives, and tiered rewards to keep players engaged and rewarded for consistency.

  • Reputation Economy: Created a reputation-based progression system that replaces traditional currency. Players earn Push Reputation to unlock better bottles and upgrades, with dynamic multipliers for Pro and Premium players.

  • Data Saving: Integrated ProfileService to securely handle player data, including reputation, streak progress, crystals, and rewards. Ensuring a reliable, persistent experience across sessions.

  • Global Leaderboards: Implemented interactive leaderboards showcasing the top players by wins and reputation, including a live in-game display of the #1 player’s character model for added visibility and recognition.

  • Exclusive Shop System: Developed an Exclusive Shop where players can purchase special packs and currencies using Robux.

  • Ambience & Playlist system: Created a music playlist system that cycles through themed soundtracks enhancing immersion and setting the tone of the game.

  • Leaderboard & Donator Rewards: Built a Top Donator leaderboard with both monthly and all-time categories, granting the Admin Bottle as a unique reward to top donators.

  • Map & Environment Design: Designed and optimized the map layout to balance visibility, performance, and player flow. Since players can't move, the movement is done with the camera and interactables. There are different zones where the player can move to like the Kitchen for example.

  • UI Systems: Fully designed the user interface for fluidity and polish, integrating animated transitions, sound effects, and client-side tweens for smooth interaction. As said earlier, most icons aren't from me. They are taken from the Vector Icon Pack by RhosGFX.

  • Easter Eggs & Intermission System: Added hidden easter eggs throughout the map and created a dynamic intermission system with icons, countdowns, and status indicators to enhance pacing and replayability.
